Missional Intention

A Strong Mandate...

Our mandate is the Great Commission, which says "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

Our purpose is to “Evangelize West County and Beyond.” One of our core values is to “Reach People for Christ” by reaching out to both the community around us and the world at large through regular church activities, special emphasis events, missions giving, and missions trips and projects to help accomplish the Great Commission.

Balanced Approach

Our goal is to provide a balanced approach to state, national, and international missions. This goal is based on Acts 1:8, which says in part, “you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth." Our “Jerusalem” is our local church area (WestCounty); our “Judea” is the state of Missouri; our “Samaria” is North America; and our “remotest part of the earth” is the remainder of the globe (International).

Mission Trips & Activities

“All can pray, many can give, some can go.” We provide opportunities for everyone to get involved in missions through prayer, by giving scholarships for someone else to go, and by going on mission trips and participating in missions activities and projects. We provide a balanced approach to missions by providing opportunities to get involved in missions in our own community, our city and state, our nation, and internationally. We have taken mission trips to Lower Manhattan Community Church in New York, numerous World Changers locations, Romania, Guatemala, and Kenya as well as supported New Generation Church in North St. Louis County. In our own community, we have participated in Community Service Days and hosted Fall Festival, and Vacation Bible School.

Global Outreach

Global Outreach is a wholly owned subsidiary of First Baptist Church Ellisville. The purpose of Global Outreach is two-fold. The first purpose is to assist indigenous congregations in third-world countries to secure property and/or buildings for community aid centers. The second main purpose is to provide financial assistance to interested people, through partial scholarships, to go to third-world countries to help administer humanitarian aid to indigenous people.
