First Baptist Church Men’s Ministry Team plans and coordinates the various ministry and missions opportunities for men, both those in the congregation and those in the community.  This includes Men’s Fraternity, a series of three one-year-long studies, beginning with The Quest for Authentic Manhood, followed by Authentic Manhood: Winning at Work and Home, and concluding with The Great Adventure. More than just a rally or a Bible study, Men's Fraternity provides men with an encouraging process that teaches them how to live lives of authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ and directed by the Word of God.

The Men’s Ministry Team also plans and coordinates men’s ministry and mission’s events, such as: Community Outreach Projects, Annual Men’s Golf Tournament, a Sportsman’s Dinner, as well as additional opportunities designed to connect men with other men to fulfill the purposes of fellowship, ministry, missions, discipleship, and worship.  (Contact persons: Vince Knipp or Pastor Rich Smith)

Ministry Opportunities:

  • Men’s Fraternity  - This is a weekly ministry by and for men that is intended to promote personal spiritual growth,  strengthen family relationships and foster a caring/sharing attitude towards all those around us.  Click here to see a short video about the Men's Fraternity study series.

o       The fall Sunday evening Men's Fraternity will involve two series held in parallel this fall; "The Great Adventure" which is the third part in the continuing series and "The Quest for Authentic Manhood" which is the first part in the series. Regular sessions for each of the series will begin in September.

o       Starts September 12th:"The Great Adventure" is the third part in the Men's Fraternity Series and is intended primarily for those who have participated in one of the previous sessions. It explores a man and his world beyond the everyday. The 20-session study puts the roof on the house of masculinity and creates a vision for a man's future and destiny. This study will help men rediscover some of the adventure in life through a greater understanding of who they are. Men will uncover the uniqueness they have as a man and discover a satisfying life focus.  Study sessions will begin September 12th.  Click here to see a description of the course content {for information only}.

o       Starts September 19th:"The Quest for Authentic Manhood" is the first study in the three part Men's Fraternity Series and is intended as a foundation builder for those who may not yet have had an opportunity to participate in this study series.  This 24-session study focuses on a man's core identity and gives an overview of basic manhood issues. It will help men deal with various identity issues by looking back at past wounds and other things that may have distorted their idea of Biblical masculinity.  Throughout the course of the study, men will learn how to clearly define manhood and will finally be able to give a succinct and passionate answer to the question, "What is a man?" and "What am I living to be?"  The first session for this study will be September 19th and it will be presented in parallel with the Great Adventure study.   Click here to see a description of the course content {for information only}.
