The Purpose of our LIFE Classes

Our LIFE Classes exist to equip the members of First Baptist Church of Ellisville to become fully devoted followers of Christ, where they in-turn, Share and Serve Christ and others.

• We develop our LIFE Classes on 5 levels, around the following five purposes of the church:

1.     Discipleship

2.     Fellowship

3.     Ministry

4.     Evangelism

5.     Worship

The 2-Fold Vision of our Life Classes:

1)      To Equip the Church To Go and Make Disciples:

God designed all of creation to reproduce. Humans, animals, and crops alike all reproduce. The same is true for Christians. When new believers are assimilated into a healthy church with a vital and intentional discipleship process, they will be challenged by God’s Word to actively live an obedient life and to actively share their faith.

2)      Disciples Growing Believers:

We have been called by God to not only make disciples but to teach them everything God has commanded us in His Word. This process of developing mature believers comes through the teaching of God’s Word.

The D.N.A. of our LIFE Classes

Our LIFE Classes consists of groups of Christians that focus on a deeper understanding of the Bible, along with healthy and growing relationships with God and others. They achieve this by utilizing relevant Bible Studies, as well as book studies, as they pertain to age, gender, and other demographics.

Life Classes Include the Following Spiritul Growth Opportunities:

Foundations - A LIFE Class for New Christians, or anyone who wants to know more about living a full life in Christ – Taught in the spring and Fall semesters.

LIFE 101 Discovering Church Membership – A New Members Class for both new and perspective members. It focuses on what we believe as a congregation, expectations of members, and introduces new and prospective members to the various ministries and mission opportuniuties in which they can  plug in at First Baptist Church.  

LIFE 201 Discovering Spiritual Maturity – Introducesnew believers to four foundastional pillars of a Christ-like life.

LIFE 301 Discovering My Place In Ministry - Helps new believers learn their G.P.S. - Gifts, Personality, and Skill-Sets and connects them with a ministry within the church..

LIFE 401 Discovering my Life Mission - Helps believers faithfully Share Christ with their entire life.

Men’s Fraternity - A series of three one-year-long studies, beginning with The Quest for Authentic Manhood, followed by Authentic Manhood: Winning at Work and Home, and concluding with The Great Adventure series. More than just a rally or a Bible study, Men's Fraternity provides men with an encouraging process that teaches them how to live lives of authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ and directed by the Word of God.

LIFE Classes are also designed to help both men and women to build relationships with fellow believers and cultivate a growing knowledge of the Bible, and its impact on our daily lives. They meet on Sunday night, various weeknights and Wednesday mornings.

LIFE Classes provide various discipleship-related, small group Bible studies and book studies.
