What are Adult Bible Fellowships (ABFs)?

They comprise an essential outreach and spiritual growth strategy of the church, consisting of small groups of adults who are grouped by age, gender, life stage, or various topical studies. These groups are uniquely designed as a place where people can experience the love of Christ, where guests can discover a caring church family through a sense of belonging, and where people can connect with God through sound biblical teaching that fosters spiritual growth.

Their Mission:

To Reach the un-churched in our community for Christ 

To Raise up spiritually mature believers

To Release members to serve others through ministry and to share Christ through missions

To Reproduce a new group every two years

Their Biblical Foundation

Acts 2:42-47 is the focal biblical text that defines their purpose and directs their mission.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

DISCIPLESHIP – They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching

FELLOWSHIP  – to the fellowship of the breaking of bread…and ate together with glad and sincere hearts

PRAYER – to prayer

MINISTRY – they gave to anyone as he had need

WORSHIP – praising God

OUTREACH – And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
